1.5 The 2% Principle of Gradualism.

(A further exploration, expansion, and explanation of ‘orbiting’)
Someone once explained to me how to get to the moon. You orbit the earth continuously until you see a window of opportunity. The window of opportunity is that critical point where you make a small adjustment of 2% in the degree of your course.* This small adjustment will gradually, over the course of about 360,000 kilometres, create the trajectory necessary to set your course to the moon. This is the 2% principle of gradualism.
This concept can be applied to personal change. Change can be difficult. In the case of the moonshot, you need to know your orientation by locating yourself. The moon's orbit is elliptical and the moon’s distance changes. But it only takes a small personal change, even 2%, to gently leave one orbit for another. You might be compelled to do this because of your vocāre, your vocation, a voice or the Voice, calling you to a departure from your stable home orbit, to new orbits and other realms.
*From a values (de)construction, personal change perspective this might be intentional or accidental, a catastrophic crisis, or a calculated plan.
